Another day at LBS

Between a spurt of visits to the laundry room, calling back parents in India and attending company presentations (which btw last long enough to completely suck you out of any energy), I did have some time to check back news from India. Turns out the opposition BJP has finally 'anointed' Narendra Modi as opposition candidate for Prime minister ship. This has set off some interesting reactions from all over. The media loves to hate the guy but he has incredible public support. Notwithstanding my own political inclinations, I find it incredibly fascinating that a man so vilified by media has caught the fascination of a large section of the country. And no, its not a case of 'all publicity is good publicity'.

Elsewhere the FED decided not to taper <sigh> but then says it was a borderline decision. To taper or to not taper, that was the question.

Just started a new blog so I can post about life here at LBS. Will start by clarifying that it stands for London Business School and has nothing to do with the other remarkable institution called London School of Economics (LSE) apart from sharing a common first name and a great track record of attracting smart minds.
